Recommendation: Adopt A Resolution: (1) Authorizing The City Administrator To Apply For, Accept And Appropriate Head Start Basic Training And Technical Assistance, Early Head Start Basic And Training And Technical Assistance Grants For Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-2024 From The US Department Of Health And Human Services, Administration For Children And Families, Office Of Head Start (DHHS/ACF), In An Estimated Amount Of Twelve Million Five Hundred Sixty-Nine Thousand Two Hundred Sixty Dollars ($12,569,260), And Committing The Necessary 25% Local Match; And (2) Authorizing The City Administrator To Apply For, Accept And Appropriate A 5.6 Percent Cost Of Living (COLA) Adjustment And Quality Improvement Grant From DHHS/ACF To Offset Higher Operating Costs And Make Program Quality Improvements For The Head Start And Early Head Start Program For FY 2023-2024; And (3) Authorizing An Estimated Offset Of Two Million Seven Hundred Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety-Five Dollars ($2,709,795) For FY 2023-2 | | |
