Pursuant to Section 401 of the Charter, the City Attorney has prepared and
recommends settlement of the above-entitled claim for the sum of Nine Thousand
Three Hundred Eighty Nine Dollars and 09 Cents ($9,389.09), payable to Maryland
Casualty Company as subrogee of Maxwell Nealy, LLC, as a result of damages caused
by the failure of the City's sewer main. (Public Works Agency)

ATTORNEY TO COMPROMISE AND SETTLE THE CLAIM
OF MARYLAND CASUALTY COMPANY AS SUBROGEE
OF MAXWELL NEALY, LLC, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$9,389.09 AS A RESULT OF A SEWER BACKUP WITH
RAW EFFLUENT THAT INUNDATED THE BASEMENT
AREA OF A BUSINESS LOCATED AT 222 - 14'h
STREET. (OPW)
 
 
RESOLVED: That the City Attorney is authorized and directed to compromise and
settle the subrogation claim of Maryland Casualty Company as subrogee of Maxwell
Nealy, LLC, our file number C22556, for the sum of Nine Thousand Three Hundred
Eighty Nine Dollars and 09 Cents ($9, 389.09), payable to Maryland Casualty Company
as subrogee of Maxwell Nealy, LLC.
 
FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney is further authorized and directed
to take whatever steps may be necessary to effect said settlement; and be it
 
FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of Nine Thousand Three Hundred
Eighty Nine Dollars and 09 Cents ($9,389.09), be paid to Maryland Casualty Company
as subrogee of Maxwell Nealy, LLC.
