Recommendation: Conduct A Public Hearing Regarding An Emergency Ordinance, Pursuant To Charter Section 213, Establishing Interim Controls Requiring Design Review For All New Construction And A Conditional Use Permit For Automotive-Related Uses In The Community Thoroughfare Commercial Zone (C-40), To Take Effect Immediately Upon Introduction And Adoption; And As A Public Hearing On The December 18, 2007 City Council Agenda
Reason: At the Community and Economic Development Committee meeting of November 27, 2007, during the discussion of the Retail Strategy agenda item (Legistar # 07-0497), the Committee forwarded the matter to the Full Council agenda on December 18, 2007, with the direction that staff also prepare an Emergency Interim Control Ordinance for consideration. For noticing purposes, staff is requesting that the title above be approved for the December 18 Council agenda, alongside the Public Hearing considering the other componants of the Retail Strategy item.
