RESOLUTION RE-APPOINTING GENE ZAHAS AS DISTRICT 4 REPRESENTATIVE
AS A MEMBER OF THE BUDGET ADVISORY COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 74826 C.M.S. creates the Budget
Advisory Committee, one of whose members are nominated and
approved by the City Council and;
WHEREAS, Ordinance No.74826 C.M.S. specifies that members
of the Budget Advisory Committee are to serve two year terms, which are
to be staggered so that some appointments will expire every year, and
appointments to fill a term of office are only to be for the remainder of that
term; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that by the nomination of Councilmember Quan, the
following individual is hereby re-appointed to the term set forth below:
Gene Zahas, District 4 Representative, to complete the term
beginning May 25, 2003 and ending May 25, 2005, filling a position
formerly held by himself.

GENE ZAHAS
Gene Zahas is an alumnus of the Oakland Public Schools and a successful Oak-land
business owner and leader.
He has served in major leadership roles in efforts to support the Oakland Public
Schools and youth programs. He was co-chair of the Friends of the Oakland
Public Schools, 1993-2002 and was recounized as the alumnus of the year by the
Marcus Foster Institute.
